Roof Restoration for Veteran Widow

The Need

Jeannie Wray, widow of Army veteran Villard “Bill” Wray, was selected to receive a full roof replacement through our annual Veteran Roof Giveaway.

Bill Wray served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, where he operated heavy equipment during his time in service. After his passing, his wife Jeannie continued living in their home.

As a disabled widow, maintaining the home and managing the cost of major repairs had become increasingly difficult. After learning about her situation, a neighbor nominated Jeannie for the giveaway, hoping the community could step in and help.

The Project

In honor of Veterans Day, our team selected Jeannie as the recipient of the 2024 Veteran Roof Giveaway.

A full roof replacement was completed at no cost, ensuring her home would remain safe and protected for years to come. The installation took place on Veterans Day as a way to recognize Bill Wray’s service and give back to a family connected to that sacrifice.

The Impact

A safe and reliable roof can remove a significant burden for homeowners facing financial or physical challenges.

For Jeannie, this project represented more than a necessary home repair. It was a moment of support from the community and a recognition of her late husband’s service.

Acts of service like this continue to inspire the mission behind Force Cares Foundation — strengthening homes while honoring those who have served.
