Roofing Assistance

A Safe Roof When It’s Needed Most

A secure roof is more than protection from the elements — it represents safety, dignity, and peace of mind.

Force Cares Foundation provides free or low-cost roofing repairs and replacements to qualified Tennessee homeowners facing financial hardship. Our goal is simple: to restore stability for families who have served and for those navigating difficult seasons.

How We Help

Every situation is different, and every home has its own story.

Depending on need and available support, assistance may include:

  • Roof repairs
  • Emergency storm-related repairs
  • Full roof replacement

Each request is carefully reviewed to determine the most appropriate solution for the home and family involved.

Who We Serve

We are especially committed to serving:

★ Veterans and wounded service members
★ Military families
★ First responders
★ Families experiencing financial hardship

If you are unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to apply. Our team reviews each request individually and thoughtfully.

Eligibility & Application Guidelines

Because our mission centers on stabilizing families in their homes, assistance is provided for owner-occupied primary residences in Tennessee.

Applicants will be asked to provide documentation that helps us confirm financial need and service status when applicable. This may include DD214 (for veteran applicants) and your most recent federal tax return. Providing documentation allows us to steward community resources responsibly and ensure support reaches those facing genuine hardship.

In some cases, additional information may be requested to better understand the situation. All personal documents are handled with discretion and reviewed only for application purposes.

What to Expect After You Apply

  • Submit the Request Help form along with required documentation.
  • Our team reviews each application with care.
  • If you do not qualify, you will receive a notification by email.
  • If you qualify, a member of our team will contact you by phone within 48 hours to discuss next steps.
  • A site visit may be scheduled to assess the property and confirm project scope.

We are committed to communicating clearly and treating every applicant with respect throughout the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a veteran to apply?

No. While veterans and first responders are prioritized, families experiencing financial hardship may also apply.

Can I apply or nominate someone else for assistance?

Yes. You may submit a request on behalf of a veteran or family in need.

If you are applying for someone else, please ensure the homeowner is aware of and consents to the application. Our team may contact them directly as part of the review process.

To move forward, we will still require documentation from the homeowner, including proof of financial need and (if applicable) verification of veteran status.

We encourage families, friends, and community members to step forward when someone they know may need support.

What types of roofing work are covered?

We may provide repairs, emergency repairs, or full replacements depending on the condition of the roof and available support.

Is assistance limited to primary residences?

Yes. We focus on owner-occupied primary residences to ensure we are directly stabilizing families in their homes.

Will my information be kept confidential?

Yes. Documentation is reviewed privately and used only to determine eligibility.
